I am very glad to welcome you to the page of the Azerbaijan seminars of the technical consultant of the Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union, Hombu Dojo instructor Kuribayashi Shihan. Aikido cannot be called a sport, on the contrary, it is an art. All martial arts that originated in Japan begin, as it were, with religion, philosophy, an understanding of their origin. For all people who understand Japanese civilization and art, who want to learn Aikido or other martial arts or are already engaged, the path will be very long and difficult. Aikido teaches us to live in harmony with the environment around us and ourselves. This is the meaning of Aikido. I am sure that our portal will become a reliable communication channel for Aikido lovers to learn and unite this beautiful art.

Our esteemed teacher Kuribayashi Takanori Sensei, was born September 4, 1963 in Saitama prefectur, Japan. After graduating literature faculty of local university, he started practicing Aikido under the supervision of Itiro Sibata. In 1986 he got accepted to Hombu Dojo as Uchi-deshi, holding a 2nd Dan. Currently he teaches in International Aikido Federation and different university clubs. Since 1 October 2011 Technical Director of the Azerbaijan Aikikai Aikido Clubs Public Union. www.shihan.az
